COSTA RICA - The Cayuga Sustainable Hospitality chain is offering a hard-to-believe discount at six of its resorts in Costa Rica and Nicaragua for stays now through Nov. 20.
The Your Age Is Your Discount promotion means your age equals the percentage off the total resort or hotel cost. lf you’re travelling in a group, and the oldest person is 65, then your entire group gets 65 per cent off. Central America should see the rainy season shift to drier, sunnier days in the coming weeks. Five of the resorts are in Costa Rica, one is in Nicaragua.
Regular rates, without the age discount, start around $255 per night for a room for two at the Lapa Rios, a six-bungalow ecolodge nestled in a 400-hect- are protected rainforest on Costa Rica’s Osa Peninsula.
The price includes three meals a day and two guided hikes per day. Or, for $280 a night, you could get a
room for two at the Arenas del Mar Beach, a 38-room upscale resort overlooking the Manuel Antonio National Park on Costa Rica’s central Pacific coast. Meals are not included.
The Cayuga chain is well known for its sustainable practices. Even though not all of the participating resorts list the age discount on their websites, the six listed on www.cayugaonline.com are indeed participating.
Just mention the Your Age ls Your Discount promotion when you book.
