Big budget weddings are out and elopements are in, according to wedding planners across North America. As a destination, Costa Rica has always been on the top of the list for honeymooners, but now Lapa Rios Rainforest Ecolodge is seeing an increase in couples coming to say “I do”, which is why they are offering elopement packages along side honeymoon rates.  

What sets Lapa Rios apart is the guest list of howler monkeys, red eye tree frogs, jaguars, two and three toed sloths and over 300 species of wild birds. And family members who are trying to get hold of the happy couple - can’t, as communications is limited with phones and internet only available for emergency purposes.

Couples can choose to do in front of a private waterfall, deep in the rainforest, the beach or on a secluded platform with spectacular views of the ocean.

The Most Simple Elopement

The most simple elopement of all - just a ceremony… and your love.

  • Legal Ceremony $1,350
  • Non Legal Ceremony- non denominational or religious (Rabbi, Minister, and reverends available) $750- $1,400 (depending on type of celebrant required).

Simple With Added Touches Elopement

  • Lawyer/Officiate to oversee all legalities and perform a beautiful ceremony
  • Professional Photography Service Package: includes 2.5 hours unlimited photos, all images then processed and downloaded on CD’s  in color, sepia tone and black and white (no prints included - clients retain all printing rights).
  • Choice of one of our brides bouquets and grooms boutonniere.
  • Professional pre coordination of all.

Elegant Elopement

  • Lawyer/Officiate to oversee all legalities and perform a beautiful ceremony.
  • Professional Photography Service Package: includes 2.5 hours unlimited photos, all images then processed and downloaded on CD’s  in color, sepia tone and black and white (no prints included - clients retain all printing rights).
  • Choice of one of our Brides bouquet and grooms boutonniere, large box of rose petals for sand and or ceremony location to mark altar.
  • Makeup and hair stylist for bride.
  • Video Recording of Wedding Day Celebration Package: includes up to 2.5 hours on site, which covers preparations before the ceremony, ceremony & sunset romance on the beach.  DVD is personalized with names and excerpts from event on the scene select screen title and with a full color label and DVD case.
  • Professional pre coordination of all- professional edited and courier delivered to client.
