Scuba Diving in Caño Island
Caño Island is one of Costa Rica’s most celebrated marine reserves, a sanctuary for both pelagic species and reef dwellers. Conditions tend to be excellent year-round, with great visibility.
This full-day adventure begins with a two-hour drive to Drake Bay, followed by a boat transfer to the island. Once there, certified divers will explore two dive sites guided by a PADI instructor.
Depending on the season, you might encounter reef sharks, manta rays, turtles, moray eels, dolphins, and even whales.
One of Costa Rica’s Top Dive Sites
Isla del Caño is a protected biological reserve located about 15 kilometers offshore, surrounded by waters rich in marine life.
Two dive sites are explored during the day, accompanied by a PADI instructor and the experienced team from Caño Divers.
After diving, the experience continues with lunch at Pirate Cove Hotel before the journey back to Lapa Rios.
