How to Get to Lapa Rios Lodge – Watch the Video

Despite our remote location, getting to Lapa Rios Lodge is easy.  We’re located in a 1,000-acre private rainforest reserve on the wild Osa Peninsula in the South Western part of Costa Rica – one of the most biodiverse places on Earth according to National Geographic.  There are 3 ways to get to Lapa Rios Lodge: Fly, Drive or take our Private Shuttle Service.

From San Jose, take a short 50-minute domestic flight with carbon neutral Sansa Airlines to the nearby town of Puerto Jimenez.  From here, we’ll pick you up and take you on a beautiful, albeit bumpy, ride through the rainforest to Lapa Rios.

The drive from San Jose to Lapa Rios will give you a great taste of our country and culture.  Highways are fully paved and safe.  The ride will be approximately 7 hours.
